Nail & Hair Catalog Part II

EDIT: The app has since updated and changed it's graphics but the links should all still be the same as shown here.

Started in PART I

Continuing where we left off~

We are going back to the pick and chose menu of hair or nail and this time we are going into the hair tab.

Another pick one menu!

Nice and easy for me so I'm going with the top choice.

Which brings up cute bob - shoulder length cuts of various colors and sizes.

Going back and tapping the SHANTI tab pulls up cuts shoulder length to longer styles also varied in color and of course style.

Now lets back out to the main menu again to get rolling~

Before we jump into the main part of the hair or nail catalogs I want to talk about this little buddy.

By now I'm sure you've seen a nail image or maybe a hairstyle that you like and maybe would like to bookmark for a future reference? This is where our star friend is going to help you~

Tapping on it at the time being will only pull up this.

Because you haven't bookmarked anything yet.

To bookmark an image you just open the image you want to book mark and on the bottom left of the image there will be a star just tap the star.

And this screen will pop up.

Click the two symbol word and the screen will close and your image will be marked and placed into the main star menu which you can access as soon as you open the app.

A marked image will have a white filled star (shown below) instead of an empty one. And a marked image can be unmarked at anytime.

Now going back on course to the main nail/hair catalogs~

Takes us back to the main menu where we are going to tap on the nail tab.

Which opens a long list of pick one or the other menu

Not finished yet.

Okay, that is the end of the pick one menu.

Here is where the fact that the app is in Japanese gets a bit sticky.

Because I can't tell what these menus are sorting the nails into.

The first four polish bottles seem to split them into style categories ( polka dots, deco, half moon clear nails, etc) but the ones with a colored nail next to them don't make sense as most contain nails that have nothing to do with the color tab.

This one (below) was under the black tab and there is not a trace of the color black on it.

The last three text tabs under the color tabs are just as confusing as they all vary in style of nails and color.

So while not the most helpful here it is the most enjoyable, to me, because of all the varying nail designs.

Let's go look at some hair styles now~

Being that this part is also categorized by Japanese text is still a little confusing but a little more kept together then the nail tab ( similar lengths are kept together).

Second part of the menu

That confusing text tab area pops up in here as well but still makes little sense.

I was able to figure out two of the categories here, on being for bob cuts and the other for males.

For the male folks.

But as I said most of these are easy to figure out anyways.

Opening the first tab which is bob cuts will give you a long scroll of images.

Most of the haircuts found in here are common variety hairstyles nothing flashy that is frequently associated with J-fashion these are hairstyles you would find on teen idols, sensible and cute.

Most of the hairstyles, once you've clicked on them of course, will let you flip the image to see the side and back of the style. Note: that these don't always show you the side/back views and can sometimes just be different shots of the front of the style.

I really love the color of this cut~

Side view.

As you can see her cut/color is in my bookmarked looks ~

Back view.

That's about all for this app, very fun and inspiring if you ask me~

This is kind of turning into an app review blog isn't it?

Wasn't my intention but I know a lot of you fashion lovers, especially you J-fashion lovers, might enjoy this app and I'm glad to share.

See you next time~
